Week 1 India - paneer


This week I made homemade Indian Cheese or paneer. It was very simple and a big hit with the family. I went to the incredible Little India restaurant and market in Tempe, Arizona and asked their fabulous chef about my process and she said it was just how they do it! In addition, I made Saag Paneer (spinach and cheese), green beans with onion paste, chana masala, and rice.

I got most of my recipes from Madhur Jaffrey's amazing, required, indian cookbook An Invitation ot Indian Cooking.  I have never made a dish that wasn't delicious from her recipes! Most of them are from Delhi.
